Job Overview 

A skilled technician is able to use a variety of hand tools and power tools.  The technician should have experience in the construction industry and/or trade work, demolition and installation.  Skilled trim carpenters, electrical and plumbing experience is a benefit. 

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials per regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not is use and securing the job site daily.
• Load and unload construction materials manually and with the use of equipment.
• Must be able to take directions from project manager and superintendent.
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately.
• Report incidents immediately to Superintendent, Project Manager or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma/GED required
• Knowledge of standardized work routines and procedures used in the construction, maintenance, upkeep and repair.
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
• Knowledge of tools used in construction work.
• Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to operate simple equipment and machines.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor under adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move supplies and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning labels and symbols identifying hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate vehicles.
• Ability to perform manual labor.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Requirements

• Supply basic construction tools (hand tools, drills, tool belt, etc.)
• Supply your own transportation and go to multiple locations on occasion.
